: Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to transfer the quarry permit vide G.O.(3D)No.9, Industries (MMB.1) Department, dated 10.03.2005, from the name of R.Veerachitra into the name of the petitioner and permit him to quarry the multicolored granite in the patta land, measuring 1.53.0 Ares in S.No.49/4H and 49/4J in Perakoor Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER

The petitioner has made a representation dated 05.04.2019 to the first and third respondents to transfer the quarry lease in his favour from the name of his wife, viz., R.Veerachitra (since deceased). The said representation has not been considered so far. Hence, he approached this Court for disposal of the same.

2. Today, when the Writ Petition came up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that vide Letter No.4309/MMB.1/2019-3, dated 21.10.2019, the representation of the petitioner has already been disposed of.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the relief sought for by the petitioner is satisfied and nothing survives for further adjudication in the present Writ Petition. It is open to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order dated 21.10.2019 in an appropriate manner.
