This contempt petition has been filed to punish the Contemnor/Respondent herein for the willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14036 of 2020, dated 04.12.2020. 1/3
2.This Court, by an order, dated 04.12.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14036 of 2020 directed the respondent police to file a final report in Cr.No.477 of 2015 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that as directed by this Court, the respondent police has filed a final report in Cr.No.477 of 2015 before the Additional Mahila Court, Madurai for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 452, 323, 324, 326, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. 4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Contempt Petition is closed.
