ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The detenu is produced before us, pursuant to the order, dated 18.07.2016.

2. We examined the detenu and her parents. We have also heard the Chair-person, Child Welfare Committee, Madurai, who appeared as party-in-person.

3. Since proceedings are pending against the parents of the detenu, on allegation of child marriage, we are not making any observation with regard to the merits of the matter. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The minor wanted to go with the petitioner, who is none other than her biological mother. The custody of the minor is therefore given to the petitioner.

5. We direct the Chair-person, Child Welfare Committee, Madurai to monitor the activities and render all possible assistance to the detenu to pursue her studies, in as much as, she expressed her desire to continue her studies.

6. The Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with the above observation.
