The prayer made in this Writ Petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide adequate police protection for smooth conduct of election in 5th respondent Bank namely 'Kanyakumari District Central Co-operative Bank Limited, Nagercoil' with full video coverage during the course of election (from the date of filing nomination upto the date of declaration of results) on the basis of the petitioner's representation to the respondents, dated 18.01.2019. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in this petition has become infructuous.
