PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.57 of 2022 dated 04.03.2022 and to file a Final Report with appropriate Sections, within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.57 of 2022 dated 04.03.2022 and to file a Final Report with appropriate Sections

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case has been registered against the accused in Crime No.57 of 2022 for offences under Section 323 of IPC. Since the respondent Police has not completed the investigation and has not filed a final report, this Criminal Original Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the Government submitted that the respondent Police seeks two weeks more time to complete the investigation for filing final report.

4. I have considered the matter in the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for both the parties. By accepting the submission of the learned Government Advocate, two weeks time have been granted for completing the investigation and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD) No.10173 of 2022 directs to file a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirunelveli.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
