Respondent Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house which is situated at Door No.212, Ammachiyapuram Colony, S.Kodikulam Town Panchayat, Watrap Taluk, Virudhunagar District based on the petitioner's online application dated 27.07.2020 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent. 2.The petitioner seeks providing of electricity service connection for the petition mentioned premises. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent states that in the application submitted by the petitioner some other number has been given. The petitioner's counsel now states that the number given in the application is typographically erroneous. I permit the petitioner to submit a fresh application giving the correct details. 3.The petitioner has to necessarily adhere to Regulation 27 of Tamilnadu Electricity Distribution Code. If the land is poramboke, then NOC has to be obtained from the Tahsildar. If the petitioner fulfills all the requirements set out in the aforesaid regulation, the respondent is bound to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner herein. 4.With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
