O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. Issuance of notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is a resident of Palaiyur. He alleges that the third respondent had committed encroachment on the petition mentioned survey number.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader states that notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 was issued on 15.09.2025.

5. We fail to understand as to why the second respondent has not taken consequential action. We direct the second respondent to to conclude the proceedings on merits and in accordance with law after issuing notice not only to the third respondent but also to all the other 17 alleged encroachers. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands disposed of on these terms. No costs.
