ORDER

None appears for the petitioner.

2. The writ petitioner has given a representation for issuing a death certificate in respect of his father Arjunan. The petitioner wants the grand father's name to be mentioned as Duraisamy @ Karupunan.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader would point out that such revision cannot be made for asking. Unless the petitioner is able to produce convincing and solid materials in support of his claim, the jurisdictional Tahsildar will not be in a position to issue a revised certificate.

4. It is open to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the third respondent by enclosing proper materials. If the third respondent is satisfied with the materials furnished by the petitioner, the third respondent can issue death certificate as sought for. The third respondent will pass an order within a period of six weeks after the petitioner submits a fresh application along with the relevant materials.
