This writ petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the the Respondents to give permission and protection to conduct the car festival of Arulmighu Mariyamman Temple situated in Ammankudi Village of Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District from 19th June 2015 to 28th June 2015 on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 09th June 2015.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the State and perused the records.

3. Perusal of the records shows that the petitioner made a representation on 09.06.2015 to the second respondent, stating
that permission is required to conduct the temple car festival. In the said representation the petitioner is already stated that the festival is being conducted by his ancestors for several years and he has also given the schedule of the programme.
4. The learned Government Advocate on instructions, submitted that there is an objection from other group seeking permission for the same festival. As the other group who is said to be opposed is not appeared before this court. Therefore, no positive action can be issued by this time.
5. However, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to direct the fourth respondent to conduct a peace committee meeting immediately. The second respondent is also directed to give permission for conducting the temple car festival based on the report of the peace committee meeting. The said exercise shall be done at the earliest point of time.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
