: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue community certificates for the two minor sons of the petitioner, namely, 1.D.Hariharan and 2.D.THirukumaran as 'Malai Vedan' community as 'Scheduled Tribe' as per the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Amendments) Act, 1976, by disposing the Appeal Petition No.9481 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent by obtaining verification report from the first respondent within a stipulated time limit.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner made a request to the second respondent for issuance of Community Certificates for his children. By order dated 07.09.2018, the second respondent informed the petitioner that the records have been sent to the first respondent and therefore, final order can be passed after getting adjudication from the said authority. The petitioner sent two reminders dated 27.10.2018 and 05.12.2018 to the second respondent for appropriate action and alleging that no action is forthcoming, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. In the light of the above, we are inclined to direct the first respondent to pass appropriate orders within a stipulated time limit. Accordingly, the petitioner is at liberty to furnish all documents to the first respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, appropriate final orders will have to be passed by the said authority, in accordance with law, on the documents furnished by the petitioner and on the communication sent by the second respondent, within a further period of eight weeks thereafter. The petitioner will have to be given a personal hearing before passing the final orders.
3. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
