Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the entire records connected with the detention order passed in M.H.S.Confdl.No.70/2018 dated 18.07.2018 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and to direct the respondents to produce the detenu or body of the detenu namely, Madasamy alias Magesh, aged about 30 years, S/o. Gurunathan, now detained at Central Prison, Palayamkottai, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention, dated 18.07.2018 in M.H.S.Confdl.No.70/2018, detaining him as

"Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.4107 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 28.09.2018, and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, the petition is dismissed.
