ORDER
The petitioners sought for quashing of the impugned FIR for the alleged offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 355 and 506(i) I.P.C.
2. The gist of the allegations is that due to prior enmity, the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant with hands and abused him in filthy language and committed the offence of criminal intimidation.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent are same village and they have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 25.11.2024.
4. The petitioners and the second respondent / defacto complainant are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Karthikeyan, SSI, Paramakudi Police Station, Ramanathapuram District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

5. Considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned FIR pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIR in Crime No.95 of 2024 is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- as costs to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Bench and file a photocopy of the receipt along with a memo reporting compliance in the Registry. The joint compromise memo dated 25.11.2024 shall form part and parcel of this order. 05.11.2025 LS TO
