The petitioner/accused in Crime No.164 of 2024, on the file of the first respondent, has filed this petition to quash the above proceedings pending as against him.

2.Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No. 164 of 2024 has already been completed and final report has also been filed as against the petitioner before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Wartap, through e-filing No.LTN 20220001663 C202500292, on 16.04.2025.

3.Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is filed without any defects and taken on file by the concerned Court within a period of two 2/4

weeks. It is also the responsibility of the concerned Courts to take the final reports on file, if it is filed in order, within a period of two weeks.
