This writ petition is filed seeking police protection to the petitioner herein to carry on his mineral water business. According to the petitioner, he has obtained necessary license to carry on mineral water business and for the said purpose, when he attempted to exploit ground water, local people started objecting and causing disturbance to his business.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that due to scarcity of water and excessive exploitation of the ground water, State has regulated exploitation of ground water for commercial purpose and the petitioner herein not been permitted to draw ground water for commercial purpose and therefore, giving protection for his unauthorised activity does not arise. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ _____________ Page Nos.1/2
