This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the "Adal Padal" Programme on 04.05.2023 at 07.00 pm to 10.00 pm., in connection with "Thiru Vizha" of Arulmighu Sri Oorkavalan, Sri Karuppanna Swamy, Sri Mandu Karuppanna Swamy Thirukovil at Gandhi Nagar Colony, Jeyamangalam, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.

2. Mr.R.Suresh Kumar, Government Advocate (Crl.side) takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that when a similar event was conducted in the year 2019, due to some trouble between two people, a case in Crime No.82 of 2019 was registered.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in the year 2020, Adal padal program was conducted in connection with the temple festival without any problem and he seeks permission for the same in the present year also.

5. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the submission made by either side, the second respondent may consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same on merits. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the result, he may work out his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
