Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from erecting electric pole in the petitioner's land in Survey No. 31/2A-1, Viruchampatti Majra, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District by considering my representation dated 10.05.2019 within a period that may be stipulated by this Court.

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction forbearing the respondents from erecting an electrical pole in the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.31/2A-1, situated at Viruchampatti Majra, Vilathikulam Taluk, Tuticorin District, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2019.

2. This Court, by order dated 05.02.2026, directed the authorities to conduct a survey and ascertain whether any electrical pole had been erected 2/5

in the petitioner's private patta land.

3. Pursuant to the aforesaid order, a survey was conducted by the fifth respondent and a report has been filed before this Court stating that no electrical pole has been erected in the petitioner's private patta land. It is further stated that the electrical pole has been erected only in Survey No. 31/2B2.

4. In view of the above facts, no further orders are called for in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 19.02.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No pal 3/5
