ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint, dated 27.05.2022. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's mother-in-law, namely, Jeyamani died on 09.05.2022. On that occasion, the petitioner's Husband's brother, namely, Saravanakumar and his wife/Anuradha, on 25.05.20222, at about 01.00 pm, came to the petitioner's house, abused her with filthy languages, threatened with dire consequences and attacked her. Thereafter, she lodged a complaint to the respondent police on 27.05.2022. But, till now no action has been taken in this regard. W.P(MD).No.11545 of 2022 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police has issued CSR.No.85 of 2022 and for the same, enquiry is in progress. Further, he stated that the petitioner has not co-operated with the enquiry, but the counter party appeared for the enquiry.

4.By considering the said submission, the petitioner is hereby, directed to appear for enquiry, whenever required and co-operate with the investigation and the respondent police is directed to dispose of the complaint, dated 27.05.2022, on merits and in accordance with law. Further, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent police is directed to take appropriate action in this regard.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
