Writ Petition is filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the impugned refusal check slip dated 16.03.2026 issued by the 2nd respondent vide RFL/KEERAMANGALAM/34/2026 and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to register the sale deed dated 16.03.2026 without insisting upon production of original parent document within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the impugned refusal check slip dated 16.03.2026.

2.When the petitioner presented a sale deed for registration, the same was refused to register on the ground that the parent documents are not produced in original for verification.

3.The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the same is lost and remains untraceable.

4.In view of section 34C of the Act, no exception can be taken for the impugned refusal check slip. However, it will be open for the petitioner to lodge a complaint before the appropriate police and by following the circulars issued on that regard and due procedure let the authorities issue non-traceable certificate to the petitioner and it will be open for the petitioner to present the document along with the non-traceable certificate. Upon which the document shall be registered if there is no other impediment.

5.With the aforesaid liberty kept open to the petitioner, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
