Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the official respondents.

2. The grievance of the petitioners is that they are the legal heirs who are entitled to a share in the subject property. However, the children of the coowners by name, Paramasivan who are the 4th and 5th respondents have approached the Tahsildar and mutated patta in their names, leaving out the petitioners' names. Aggrieved by said action of the Tahsildar, the petitioners have made a representation to the 2nd respondent. The petitioners merely seek for disposal of the said representation pending with the 2nd respondent.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petition filed by the petitioners, dated 04.07.2024 in accordance with law, after giving an 2/4

opportunity to the petitioners as well as the respondents 4 and 5 and pass final orders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
