This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.307 of 2019 pending on the file of the first respondent police within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, on instructions, would submit that in respect of Crime No.307 of 2019, the first respondent herein completed the investigation and filed a final report on 11.10.2019 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sankarankovil, as "Mistake of Fact".
