PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the detenue namely Kameshwari, daughter of Radhakrishnan, aged about 25 years, the bride of the Petitioner herein and set her at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the detenue namely Kameshwari, daughter of respondents 3 and 4 before this court and set her at liberty.

2.It is alleged by the Petitioner that in pursuance of the betrothal on 2.7.2020, the Petitioner was to marry the detenue on 28.8.2020, but on 27.08.2020, it was informed by the private respondents that their daughter was missing and hence this Petition.

H.C.P.(MD) No.693 of 2020 3.Mr.V.Neelakandan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.R.Mathiyalagan, learned counsel appearing for the detenue would state that even though the marriage of the detenue was fixed with the Petitioner herein on 28.8.2020, the detenue eloped with one Yuvaraj and married him on 27.08.2020. It is further informed that the marriage between the detenue and the said Yuvaraj was registered at Sub-Registrar's Office, Velayuthampalayam, Karur District.

4.In the light of the above facts, We are of the opinion that no further investigation is requied in this Habeas Corpus Petition and accordingly, the same stands dismissed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (AS) // True Copy // / /2020 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS) vsn Note :
