2.The only question that calls for consideration is whether the Writ Court can direct the authorities to release a land that was acquired by adopting due process of law.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the writ petitioner is very much having lands in the vicinity and that they prepared to offer the same in exchange. This is a remedy which the petitioner has to pursue before the Government by associating the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

4.Granting the said liberty to the writ petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
