Petition is filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Special Sessions Judge for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes)Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Madurai, to accept the surrender of the petitioner/Accused No.3 and consider the petitioner's bail application and grant bail on the date of surrender itself in Crime No.30 of 2020, dated 14/02/2020 on the file of the Respondent No.2.

ORDER:- This Petition coming on for hearing on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.S.Chandrasekar, Additional Public Prosecutor, for the respondent 1 and 2, this Court made the following order: 1/3

This petition is filed to extend the time granted by this Court in Crl.M.P(MD) No.4189 of 2020, dated 26.08.2020 in Crl.O.P(MD) No.5423 of 2020, dated 21.05.2020, to the petitioner to surrender before the learned III Additional District Judge PCR, Madurai. 2.Though this Court issue necessary direction to the learned III Additional District Judge PCR, Madurai, by order dated 26.08.2020, the Registry attached with this Court issued a certified copy of the order only on 09.09.2020. It is to be noted that the learned counsel for the petitioner filed a copy application on the very next date (27.08.2020) to the date on which the order has been passed.

3.For the reason stated above, this petition is ordered and a further period of two weeks from today is granted for the petitioner to surrender before the trial Court, as directed by this Court on 28.05.2020.
