ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned order in G.O.Ms.Nos.51 and 52 dated 11.08.2017 passed by the fifth respondent and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to pay the post metric scholarship for the year 2017-2018 to the petitioner within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted before this Court that the Government has passed G.O.Ms.No.56, dated 22.04.2020, wherein the Government has considered and sanctioned the scholarship for the year 2017-2018 and further submitted that in view of the subsequent G.O passed by the Government, nothing survives for adjudication in the matter.
3.The learned Central Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 to 6 and the learned counsel appearing for the eighth respondent have also conceded to dispose of the Writ Petition by recording the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the 2/4
petitioner.
4.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.56, dated 22.04.2020, no further adjudication is required in the Writ Petition and the same is dismissed as infructuous. It is made clear that in view of the order passed in the Writ Petition, there is no bar for the concerned respondent to disburse the scholarship to the petitioner and the same shall be disbursed at an earlier stage. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
