The petitioner seeks limited relief of expeditious disposal of the pending appeal filed by the petitioner before the respondent. 1/4

2.Considering the limited relief sought for, with the consent of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner has admittedly moved an appeal before the respondent as early as on 09.09.2024 and the same is pending. The said appeal pertains to mutation of patta in favour of Subbu, Kalimuthu and Chinniah. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal has been pending before the respondent, without any progress.

4.In the light of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to hear the appeal on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity to the petitioner as well as present pattathars Subbu, Kalimuthu and Chinniah and thereafter, the respondent shall pass final orders, within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
