O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records pertaining to the 2nd respondent made in proceedings in Na.Ka.No.34/Ka.Aa/Veerapandi/2024, dated 30.04.2024 and quash the same and consequently, to direct the respondents to give police permission and adequate police protection to the stage Adal Padal fest on 22.05.2024 at about 6.30 pm to 11.00 pm and Gramiya Karakattam held on 23.05.2024 at Arulmigu Sri Kaliamman and Bagavathiamman Temple situated in the Poomalaigundu Village, Theni Taluk.

2. The petitioner has approached the authorities seeking permission to conduct the cultural programme in the village temple festival and it was rejected, based on the objections raised by the respondent police. Thereafter, the petitioner has given another representation on 03.05.2024 2/5

and the same is still pending.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents are ready to provide adequate police protection if the petitioner obtained order from the first respondent.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel on either side, this court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 03.05.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass final order within a period of three (3) days from today.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
