O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to register the settlement deed to be presented by the petitioner, in the light of the decree passed in O.S. No. 272 of 2022 by the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Ottapidaram.

2. The petitioner, aged about 58 years and residing in Chennai, apprehends that the second respondent may not register the document on the same day it is presented.

3. Mr. F. Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the deed to be presented by the petitioner will be registered on the same day of presentation, if it is otherwise in order. The said submission is taken on record.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to register the deed to be presented by the petitioner, pursuant to the decree passed in O.S. No.272 of 2022 by the learned District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Ottapidaram, on the same day of its presentation, if it is otherwise in order.

5. There shall be no order as to costs.
