This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to conduct survey and demarcate the land in Survey No.367/6 at Kuruchikulam, Thirupperunthurai, Avudaiyarkoil Taluk, Pudukottai District. The petitioner had given representations on 27.08.2021 and 12.04.2023.
2.Heard Mr.T.Lenin Kumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Ms.D.Farjana Ghousia, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
3.The petitioner is the President of Thirupperunthurai Panchayat. It is stated that the pathway in S.No.367/6 in Kuruchikulam in the said Panchayat has been encroached by certain miscreants.
The petitioner had requested removal of the encroachment. To enable that, the Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to survey and demarcate the land. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.11015 of 2023 4.The learned Special Government Pleader had forwarded a report, wherein, it had been stated that survey had been conducted on 20.06.2023 and it had been stated that two individuals, Rajendran son of Kathamuthu and Mahalingam son of Muthu Kamatchi, had encroached into the said pathway. It is also stated that steps in accordance with law would be taken to remove the said encroachments.
5.Giving that particular direction to the respondents to proceed further in manner known to law, since survey had been conducted, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
