ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the second respondent No.NIL dated NIL and quash the same as illegal and ultra vires and directing the respondents to grant permission with necessary protection to perform the temple festival on the eve of Arulmigu Sri Santhanamariamman Sri Kaliamman and Sri Sudalai Mariamman Kovil Temple Festival (Kodaivizha) at Indra Nagar, Palamadai, Tirunelveli District, which is to be held from 06.00 p.m on 01.05.2023 to 06.00 A.M on 03.05.2023 and based on pamphlet/ the petitioner representation in person on 19.04.2023. 2/6

2. Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit because of some rivalry between the two groups, several FIRs have been registered against them. Therefore, the respondent police has aready issued proceedings by rejecting the representation made by the writ petitioner dated 19.04.2023 for conducting the temple festival. He further submitted that because of the continuos trouble, a Peace Committee Meeting was proposed today (i.e) on 27.04.2023 and the parties are not willing to appear before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli.

4. The Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli, is directed to conduct a Peace Committee Meeting on 29.04.2023, the parties are directed to participate the Peace Committee Meeting and the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli, shall try to resolve the issue. 3/6

5. Depending upon the out come of the resolution to be adopted in the Peace Committee Meeting, further action shall be taken by the second respondent. But if aggrieved by the petitioner, he can workout the remedy through appropriate proceedings.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. 27.04.2023 NCC :
