This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent i.e. the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Revenue Administration, Chennai, to pass appropriate orders on the proposals sent by the District Collector, Thanjavur, for advancing the petitioner's name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildhars of the year 2016, in his Letter R.C.No.16905/A5 dated 10.02.2022, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the District Collector, Thanjavur, through his proceedings in R.C.No.16905/A5, dated 10.02.2022, recommended the petitioner's name to be included in 2016 panel list for the promotion of Deputy Tahsildars and keep the petitioner's name after the serial number 17 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD) No.11502 of 2022 and before the serial number 18 and then revised panel list be published. Now the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to pass appropriate orders on the proposal sent by the District Collector, Thanjavur, within a specific time limit to be fixed by this Court.

3.Considering the limited scope of this matter, this Court directs the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the proposals sent by the District Collector, Thanjavur, for advancing the petitioner's name in the approved list of Deputy Tahsildhars of the year 2016, in his Letter R.C.No.16905/A5 dated 10.02.2022, at the earliest possible of time, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.
