This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the third respondent to promote the petitioner to the post of Skilled Assistant Grade-I in Tiruchirappalli Corporation with all attendant and monetary benefits.

2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent / Corporation would submit that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, the petitioner was promoted to the post of Technical Assistant and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent Corporation can be recorded and this Writ Petition can be closed.
