O R D E R
Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The petitioner alleges that his passport has been impounded. He wants the same to be released. Notice was issued to the first respondent. The first respondent has filed a detailed counter affidavit.
3. The learned Assistant Solicitor General took me through its contents. She categorically stated that the petitioner's passport has not been impounded at all and that it is very much available with him. It is also pointed out that Crime No.611 of 2021 is pending on the file of the Pattukottai Taluk Police Station and that the petitioner is figuring as an accused.

4. I went through the facts further. It is seen that the defacto complainant in the said case is none other than the motherin-law. It appears that the petitioner fell in love with the daughter of the defacto complainant and got married to her. Now, the mother-in-law wants to prevent the petitioner to go abroad along with her daughter.
5. The petitioner's counsel would further state that the defacto complainant's daughter ie., petitioner's wife has to pursue her higher studies at London.
6. I am more than satisfied that this is a case in which the petitioner's right to travel abroad ought not to be interfered with.
7. Recording the stand taken by the learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for R1, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
