O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent in Na.Ka.No.966/2024/A, dated 06.05.2024 and quash the same with regard to the Adal Padal alone and consequently, direct the respondents 1 and 3 to grant permission to conduct cultural programme (Adal Padal) in the Chithirai Festival of "Arulmigu Sri Muthumariyamman Thirukkovil" situated at Nethaji Nagar, Thanakkankulam, Madurai District scheduled to be held on 11.05.2024 and 12.05.2024 at 7 p.m., to 11.00 pm.

2. The petitioner has approached the authorities seeking permission 2/5

to conduct the cultural programme in the village temple festival and it was rejected in respect of Adal Padal alone, based on the objections raised by the respondent police.

3. In view of the Model Code of Conduct, the petitioner is directed to approach the 2nd respondent with a fresh representation. On receipt of such representation, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass final order within a period of three (3) days, thereafter.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
