O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction, to direct the the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to life and limb of the petitioner and his family members from the respondents 4 to 18.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on 28.05.2022 at about 4.15 p.m., the respondents 4 to 18 chased one person viz., Krishnan, S/o Alagarsamy, on fearing, he entered into the house of the petitioner and on seeing the same, the respondents 4 to 18 attacked the 2/6
victim Krishnan and the petitioner also. In this connection, the petitioner had given a complaint on 30.05.2022. The case has been registered for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b) and 323 of IPC in Crime No.59 of 2022. Now, the respondents 4 to 18 are making criminal intimidation to the petitioner for withdrawing the aforesaid case. Hence, the petitioner seeks police protection for giving representation on 30.05.2022 to the first respondent. Since the respondents police did not take any action, the petitioner filed a present petition.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the representation given by the petitioner is pending before the respondent police. Admittedly, the petitioner gave a complaint against the respondents 4 to 18 with regard to attack made on him as well as one Krishnan. The case was registered for the offences under Section 147, 294(b) and 323 of IPC an FIR in Crime No.59 of 2022 against the respondents 4 to 18.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the third respondent is hereby directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2022. If any threat is made to the petitioner's life and limb and his family members, the third respondent is directed to provide necessary police protection and to take further action against the respondents 4 to 18.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
