Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 3 to take immediate action based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2025 in the nature of forbearing the fifth respondent and her men and agents from conducting temple festival on 22.04.2025 with respect to the temples namely Arulmigu Muppidathi Amman Kovil, Sri Vandimalaichiamman Kovil, Sri Kaliamman Kovil and Sri Sudalaimadasamy Kovil Temples situated at Keelapavoor Village, Alangulam Taluk, Tenkasi District in the light of the Resolution dated 17.12.2024 passed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Alangulam Sub Division, Tenkasi District beside directing the third respondent to give protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 3 to take action based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.04.2025 forbearing the fifth respondent and her men and agents from conducting temple festival on 22.04.2025 with respect to the temples namely Arulmigu Muppidathi Amman Kovil, Sri Vandimalaichiamman Kovil, Sri Kaliamman Kovil and Sri Sudalaimadasamy Kovil Temples situated at Keelapavoor Village, Alangulam Taluk, Tenkasi District in the light of the Resolution dated 17.12.2024 passed by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Alangulam Sub Division, Tenkasi District and direct the third respondent to give protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police denied the receipt of the petitioner's representation. However, today, through this petition, a copy of the representation was served to the respondents 3 and 4. 3/6

3.Considering the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court directs the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Alankulam, Tenkasi District, to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same by tomorrow after affording opportunity to both the parties, in accordance with law.
