PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.302 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The respondent police registered a case as against this petitioner in Crime 1/3
No.302 of 2023 for the offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and Section 29(1) of NDPS Act and remanded him into judicial custody on 03.01.2024. Since the petitioner's father died on 08.05.2024, he moved this petition seeking interim bail for a period of one week, i.e. from 09.05.2024 to 16.05.2024.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel on either side submit that this Court, by earlier order dated 09.05.2024, granted interim bail to the petitioner for two days, to attend the funeral function. After completing the funeral function, the petitioner has surrendered before the prison on 11.05.2024. Thereafter, this petition was not listed before this Court. In the meantime, the petitioner moved a bail application before the Sessions Court, Madurai and got regular bail.
3. Considering the subsequent development, this Criminal Original Petition is closed as infructuous.
