ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the encroachers made a life threat to the petitioner and his family members. Hence, he lodged a complaint before the second respondent police to give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, would submit that enquiry was conducted and the respondent police advised the encroachers not to disturb the petitioner and his family members. But the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the same, the petitioner received threatening phone calls from the encroacher.

5. In view of the submission made by both side, it is open to the petitioner to make a fresh representation to the first

respondent seeking police protection. If any such representation received, the first respondent shall consider the said representation by taking note of the above said fact and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
