[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in accompanying affidavit it is therefore prayed that this Honourable Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or any other Writ in the nature of direction directing the respondents to grant permission to conduct Manjuvirattu to be held on 15.05.2023 in connection with Sri Solaiyandavar Swami Temple Vaikasi Festival at Sendalaipatti Village, E.Malampatti, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2023 and thus render justice."

4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 20.04.2023 well in advance and grant permission for Manjuvirattu between 09.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m., subject to the other usual conditions.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
