ORDER

This writ petition is filed directing the respondents 2 to 4 to conduct enquiry after issuance of notice to the respondents 5 and 6 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2026, so as to recover his property comprised in Survey No.158/1, Veeramanickam Village, Tiruchendur Taluk. Thoothukudi District.

2.Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case including the representation, it can be seen that the grievance of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property, however without any right title interest whatsoever, the private respondents have encroached into his property. Even assuming that the averments are true and correct, the District Collector or the Block Development Officer

have no jurisdiction to enquire or take action with reference to encroachment in private property. The petitioner has to approach the competent civil Court for relief.

3.Accordingly, keeping open the liberty of the petitioner, this writ petition cannot be entertained and as such the same stands dismissed. No costs.
