Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to take immediate action to shift the temporary slaughter house from daily market shopping complex, Anna Salai, Kodaikanal, Dindigul District to weekly market, P.T.Road, Kodaikanal or any other remote place from Kodaikanal within the time stipulated by this Honble Court.
ORDER : This petition coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and the earlier order of this Court and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.T.S.MOHAMED MOHIDEEN, Advocate for the petitioner, MR.R.ALAGUMANI for Respondent 1 and MR.A.BASKARA PANDIAN, Special Govt. Pleader for Respondents 2 to 5, this court made the following order:- After perusal of the papers with specific reference to paragraph 11 of the affidavit filed in support of the petition, in which it has been stated that 5 places have been identified, we are inclined to extend the the time by 9 months.
Accordingly, 9 months time is granted to make appropriate alternative arrangement.
We make it clear that no extension of time will be given at any costs.
