O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, Tenkasi District to expedite the trial in STC No.900 of 2017 on its file and complete the same within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is the complainant in the above said case, which was registered for the offences under Sections 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though, the case was taken on file in 2017, due to non appearance of the accused, bailable warrant has been issued and due to non-execution of bailable warrant, the case is kept pending without any progress. Hence,this petition. 3.Considering the oldness of the matter, a direction is issued to the Judicial Magistrate, Tenkasi, to take steps to secure the presence of the accused person, namely the respondent herein and dispose of the same on merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
