ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to consider a petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2023 and give permission to conduct Vadamaadu Manju Virattu festival on 28.05.2023. 2.Even though writ of Mandamus will not lie, since according to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the area, in which, the above said Vadamaadu Manju Virattu is proposed to be held is not the notified area by the Government as per the G.O.Ms.No.7 dated 21.01.2017, Animal Husbandary DeparInduent. Now the petitioner wants to include his Village also in the above said Government Order. For that purpose he ought to have approached the Government. Then only the representation given by the petitioner dated 16.04.2023 can be considered by the respondents. The District Collector is not the competent authority to decide the same, since he can only execute the order in notified areas. 3.With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
