Heard the learned counsel on either side. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner is running the petition mentioned sawmill. He seeks renewal of license and also permission to shift the same. In this regard, he had already taken out an application. 3.The second respondent is said to be the authority competent to pass orders on the application. But before passing orders, the second respondent must get prior concurrence of the statutory committee constituted under Tamil Nadu Regulation of Wood-based https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.11824 of 2020 Industries Rules. It is for the second respondent to forward the petitioner's application to the said Committee and after obtaining inputs, the second respondent will pass orders in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is for the authority to pass order one way or other. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
