[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for Adal Padal Programme to be held on 26.04.2023 between 07.00.P.M to 12.00.A.M in

Arulmigu Sri Selva Vinayagar, Sri Pidariamman, Sri Balamurugan Thirukkovil, Kalabam Village, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.04.2023 and pass such other and further order as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of this case and thus render justice."

4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 24.04.2023 and grant permission for Adal Padal programme between 07.00 p.m. and 09.00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
