O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to investigate into the case in Crime No.2 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police and to file final report within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the respondent requires six months time to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.2 of 2018.

4. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No.2 of 2018, before the Court concerned within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
