2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the respondent police has not registered any complaint against the petitioner. Only the 5th respondent/Social Welfare Officer has received the complaint about the child marriage conducted by the petitioner, who had minor daughter. Based on that, the Tahsildar, Karur has conducted an enquiry on 27.05.2022 and recorded the statement of the petitioner and their relatives and they admitted that the marriage had happened on 18.02.2022 at 7.30 p.m. at Santhanakarupu Temple, Koodaloore and he forwarded the report to the Collector, Karur District and further action pursuant of the report had been taken.
3. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent police. 4.A perusal of records would show that the petitioner gave a representation to the District Collector, Karur District on 30.05.2022 stating that they have only proposed to conduct marriage for her daughter with Murugesan, but, the marriage was not conducted. In spite of that, the 5th respondent frequently requested their appearance for enquiry and thereby, threatened them. But on fact, the petitioner has conducted the marriage to her minor daughter on 18.02.2022.
5.Under these circumstances, this Court finds no merits in this case for issuing any direction and the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
