ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to forbear the first respondent from granting permission to the second respondent to construct a retail outlet (petrol bunk) in S.No.416/5A1 and 416/5A2 of Managalakudi Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2020 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.79 dated 04.05.2017.

2.The general relief as such sought for in the present Writ Petition cannot be granted. A licence to run a retail outlet (petroleum bunk) 2/5

is to be granted in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Act and Rules and by following due procedure. However, the present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a negative relief.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that subsequent to the filing of the present Writ Petition, the petitioner herein filed another Writ Petition seeking a similar relief in W.P(MD)No.8011 of 2021 and the Division Bench of this Court, by order dated 17.04.2021, dismissed the same.

4.The present Writ Petition seems to be filed based on certain personal interests. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
