[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J.] Heard Mr.A.Rajaram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Baskaran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.
2.The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the respondents 2 and 3 to cancel the Patta and recover the lands of 12 Acres 53 Cents which are situated in Survey No.139/2, 139/3A, 139/5B, 139/6A, 139/6B, 139/10A, in M.Shanmugapuram Village, Soorangudi Post, Tuticorin District, as per the third respondent Report in O.M.D1/26631/2020, dated 25.11.2020.
3.The petitioner's representation has been considered and the office of the District Collector has forwarded the same to the Tahsildar, Vilathikulam, by memo, dated 25.11.2020. In all probability, because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lock down instructions given by the Government, action has not been presumed in the matter.
4.We direct the appropriate authority to proceed further in accordance with law.
5.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
