..Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction the medical claim amount of Rs.1,06,883/- with interest at the rate of 24% per annum to the petitioner as per the bills enclosed by the petitioner dated 05.08.2018.

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents to sanction the medical claim amount of Rs.1,06,883/- with interest at the rate of 24% per annum to the petitioner as per the bills enclosed by him, dated 05.08.2018.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent / Insurance Company has placed a letter, dated 31.07.2019 addressed to the District Collector, Madurai, by stating that based on the Reference Letters dated 26.02.2019, 11.04.2019 and 09.04.2019, the first respondent is ready for settlement to the Writ Petitioner and seeks eight weeks time to settle the said amount. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. By accepting the said submission, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the sanctioned amount shall be reimbursed to the petitioner within a period of four weeks to the petitioner.
4. In view of the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and also considering the letter dated 31.07.2019, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to settle the aforesaid Medi Claim amount to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
