ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General assisted by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is a practising lawyer. He got enrolled in the year 1984. The petitioner has described himself as a senior counsel. I have to express my disapproval. Unless a person has been formally designated by the High Court, one cannot call oneself as a senior counsel. Be that as it may, it is seen that the petitioner has given an application seeking appointment as law officer. 2/4

3. The learned Additional Advocate General submits that all the vacancies in the post of law officers have already been filled up and as of now, there is no vacancy.

4. As and when any vacancy arises, the same will be duly notified and it is open to the petitioner herein to apply at that point of time. If any such application is received from the petitioner, the same shall be dealt with as per the statutory rules in force.
